a touching story

A young man was getting ready to graduate college. For many months he admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer's showroom, and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted.

As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the car. Finally, on the morning of his graduation his father called him into his private study. His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and told him how much he loved him. He handed his son a beautiful wrapped gift box.

Curious, but somewhat disappointed the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible. Angrily, he raised his voice at his father and said, "With all your money you give me a Bible?" and stormed out of the house, leaving the holy book.

Many years passed and the young man was very successful in business.
He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realized his father was very old, and thought perhaps he should go to him. He had not seen him since that graduation day. Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son. He needed to come home immediately and take care of things. When he arrived at his father's house, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart.

He began to search his father's important papers and saw the still new Bible, just as he had left it years ago. With tears, he opened the Bible and began to turn the pages. As he read those words, a car key dropped from an envelope taped behind the Bible. It had a tag with the dealer's name, the same dealer who had the sports car he had desired. On the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words...PAID IN FULL.

How many times do we miss God's blessings because they are not packaged as we expected?

College

"I studied first four units, I hope you are done with your next four units. Did you complete at least one, so that we can survive today's battle?"
"Yuh, I did 2 and I'm confident on what all I've read. I can explain you."
"Cool then, lets begin the show!" - seems like most common talks between graduates. Well, if you guessed it right, then BINGO., you also might have understood about what I was alluring here. :P
That was the last day of stressful exams, sleepless nights, one day internationals, twenty-twenties. But, for us, that was also the last day where all 66 of us met.
It is not strange though, as all fourth year's face the same feeling, despite of fights, links, misunderstandings, etc... all of us had tears when we all understood that we are going to miss each other. Yet, most importantly, we were clueless of how our future would be. All the enjoying days have gone and every day from the day when you hold your degree, seems to be most important and evaluative. Fight for position, fight for passion, fight for what not comes in your way and you wanted to grab it. Sometimes by passion, sometimes in haste., but whatever it is, the important phase of life has begun.
As I, so did few of my friends strive and succeeded to be campus placed with one of the prestigious IT company "Mahindra Satyam".
Time passed by, new year has come raining surprises... and indeed it really gave me couple of good surprises. One was that, we received our offer letters, the other is something special, at least to the extent how I felt about that.

After a long duration, I happened to speak to two of my juniors. The chat was wonderful and when I have sensed an excitement of missing our whole batch, I personally felt really good about that.
How would you feel, when you have left your footprints back at college and when you find that your college mates miss you. Faculty recollects you and your good deeds and set you as an example. Probably the old saying " Though we die, our deeds always live forever" is all true. Oh, may be the quotation is put in a different way, but whatsoever, it mean the very same. For the first time, I have experienced this thrilling moment.
I hope you also might have had such moments. Recollect those and have a nice day.

** dedicated to all my friends and faculty**  Missing you all :(
